Lavender Love June 11 2014

Lavender grows like wild weeds around Bungalow36. It creates a calming effect to our visitors. There are many uses and meanings for lavender. It is said... that girls would tuck some lavender under their lover's pillow so their thoughts would turn to romance. Once married they would put some lavender under the mattress to ensure marital passion. For this particular bride she was in search of a signature drink to mirror the theme of her wedding. We created a lavender martini that was served to guests at the cocktail hour. We added fresh lavender leaves, a splash of orange and the sweetness of honey and raw sugar. The Martini was a hit!
